Fear is a natural reaction to change. It's hard to accept that most people are fearful of starting anything new and choose to maintain the status quo (even though they might be miserable) because it's what they know. Cynthia Kersey tells us in her book, Unstoppable, "Successful people acknowledge fear and manage it by confronting the cause and determining how they can prepare for the challenge ahead. They decide on certain actions that will enable them to feel as competent and confident as possible." Help them by introducing them to the opportunity and being available and prepared for the questions that will follow.
Use a very simple approach. Such as:
You: Are you ever interested in checking out income opportunities?
They: Maybe
You: Some of us are getting (anticipating) great results from a new InVeStworks system. Here's the website. www.investworks.net. Take a look and let me know what you think. We've given you some great tools...send them to Toolbox, Classroom to view the flash presentations.
Leave it at that.
If they then want more info, great, answer as best you can, or set up a 3-way call with your sponsor. Soon, you'll be the expert!
If they look and just say no...oh well, just move on. When you're really bringing in money, they may be interested later. Some people are programmed to be the hares, and some people are the tortoises who just have to move more slowly or wait and see.
If they want to join, help them through the most difficult part...signing up with each program. Stay with your 3, they're your partners in this exciting adventure.
