General : This isn't legal in my country because you are not selling a real product.
Yes we are selling products - virtual products - information and education just like selling e-books, etc., accessed online which is certainly legal internationally. According to Forbes Magazine, "Internet education is the biggest emerging trend of the decade... "Webucation" is exploding in America and all over the world!" Rather than spending millions of dollars on television and radio to advertise to the world, Multi-Affiliate companies pays that money to YOU for simply helping them build their worldwide organization of customers! Paul Zane Pilzer, advisor to two Presidents and author of "Unlimited Wealth", says that where the money is now is not is the manufacturing of products but in the distribution of products. He predicts that there will be 10 million millionaires within the next decade from the electronic distribution of information and education. It's the wave of the future. It sounds as though you may be concerned about the value of the product. That is a judgment call as with any purchase. What one person thinks is a great value another may think is expensive. There are thousands of people around the world who do like the products sold - access to fun information and education - as well as the convenience of having it available online anytime. Learning about plants, herbs and gardening, being able to post pictures and ask questions, and converse with people around the world about plants is well worth $5 a month to many people. Along with the opportunity to make money makes it a perfect FUNdraiser for garden clubs and other small non profit organizations as well as individuals. More and more people are looking for home based business opportunities. These companies are perfect especially when combined with the very strategic exponential power of The InVeStworks Model System. Receiving recipes, trivia info and entering recipe contests is also worth $10 a month to many people especially, food lovers, people who like to cook and share recipes, and home bound people, or seniors who do not have an active life outside the home. Again, along with the opportunity to make money selling these subscriptions, it is a perfect FUNdraiser for organizations and people in general looking for ways to earn extra income from home. CashCulture offers web hosting, autoresponders and information on business and Internet marketing for $15 a month. This company also has the same attorney as Everyday Wealth which was a Multi-Affiliate company founded by 3 billionaires. This is certainly a legal way to do business as long as proper licenses are acquired, income is reported and taxes are being paid. As for the definition of a pyramid scheme, there are no clear cut laws just guidelines. Recently I attended a "How To Start Your Own MLM Company" Seminar headed up by Jeffrey Babener who is one of the most respected MLM attorneys in the US and Internationally. Multi-Affiliate companies were well represented as an advanced form of MLM for people who are Internet savvy. Party Plans were presented as becoming more popular among those that prefer offline MLM type of companies compensation plans because of the personal relationship between the buyer and the seller. And of course there were many hybrids on the more traditional network marketing compensation plans. Interestingly, matrix type of plans were not favored over unilevels and elevated levels of hierarchy which is opposite of what I teach. Many still like the "competition" aspect, thinking it will sell more products although they did acknowledge that companies needed to include simpler ways for the average person to make money too. I prefer the matrix compensation plans because they are more supportive to the team network - you have to share with your team to fill the bottom of the matrix (or pyramid)! The main thing is, is the product purchased a good value for the money exchanged and are taxes paid on the income. I think there is very good value with the companies we use, especially with respect to all network marketing companies, because of what I refer to as the Billionaire's Secret. By keeping the company very simple and the prices as low as possible while also paying the highest commissions possible and still be able to maintain a worthwhile profit, then it is really good because now you have a much larger market share to sell your products to! This is such a key point! Again, just like Walmart and the Dollar Stores. All MLM/network marketing companies products are priced higher than the average price of something comparable sold in traditional retail stores. However, they offer an affordable home based business opportunity for the average person. All products sold through non profits for FUNdraisers are higher priced than what people can buy through traditional retail outlets. Most people buy them to support the organization. They know they are not getting a bargain. They pay a higher price, however, they are getting a bargain by easily adding support to their favorite organization by buying something from them. Instead of an outright donation they are also receiving a product of some value besides the "feel good" of contributing. Or, the same thing for a friend or relative selling the product to help them out and also receive a tangible product for their money. Life is all about perspective. These companies have been in business for over 3 years. That says a lot. They are legal business entities doing business successfully where 90% fail the first year. They pay their appropriate taxes and offer a wonderful product for sale along with an equal opportunity for anyone anywhere in the world with access to a computer to also make money with them - so cool! This is the power of the Internet. This is the wave of the future. Is it legal in your country? Yes, if network marketing is legal in your country. There are millions of people all around the world participating in many network marketing companies both that are primarily offline, and those that are primarily online including Multi-Affiliate Programs. Treasure MAP's as I like to call them. Please review the other FAQ's, the Toolbox section and the "Frequently Asked Question on One Page" in the left hand menu bar on the Introduction page.
