On Fire for Financial Freedom
By Ann Barczay Sloan
Women’s Networking Editor

Introducing Suzanne Kincaid

Creator of InVeStworks

“Here’s YOUR Pot of Gold. There’s ONE for EVERYBODY!”

Passion and Compassion busy at work!
Though I’m blessed with a number of passionate people in my life, Suzanne Kincaid is one of the most “on fire” women I have ever come across. And she is passionate in the most compassionate kind of way: fired up with a commitment to do all in her power to bring financial security to people all over the world.

“All over the world? Yeah, right!” the jaded little voice in your head may say… But please don’t rush to assume this is just a grandiose do-gooder’s dream: Suzanne has actually done the work years’ worth of work! via her strategically designed and meticulously researched investment system she has named InVeStworks. By the way, please note that the lower-case letters spell out that magical Word of Power, networks!

Her book, Financial Freedom on $1 a Day and her intelligently crafted web site http://www.InVeStworks.net explain the system and the philosophies behind it in thorough detail. You’ll be exposed to some key features in this article.

Note: For those readers who may expect an analytical approach from me at this point, let me make it clear from the start that my primary intent here is:

·         to profile this bright, successful, delightful and dedicated woman and

·         to showcase her mission to bring forth creative new methods of
financial security and prosperity into the world.

In other words, I have not taken it as “my job” or obligation here to evaluate her system at the level of numbers alone. If any of you readers feel the urge to analyze, both the book and web site provide you with abundant interesting detail to dig into.

I’m personally impressed with and gratified by the thorough research Suzanne has done on the companies that have become part of (and steadily bring financial rewards to) investment teams in the InVeStworks program. Having spoken with a few long-time participants, I’m also gratified to see that they’re as enthusiastic and supportive as is Suzanne. In fact among participants I can easily observe the sense of admiration and loyalty in which they hold Suzanne.

How Suzanne and I came together
I first connected with Suzanne back in the fall of 2005 though at first, it was not in person. Instead, two other powerful women I’d recently met: Sharon Riegie Maynard, Creator of www.SisterSpace.net (featured in my TNNW article back in July) and Danica Anderson, a powerful trauma therapist and international gender violence specialist, see www.kolocollaboration.org/  suggested to their mutual friend Suzanne that she and I should get acquainted. And so we connected via e-mail, with pleasure! Some months later, Suzanne and I did physically meet in Lacey, WA. Here again is a living example of the unstoppable networking of creative women. And the connections between the four of us continue on expanding as months and years roll by. This interview is yet another stage of our journey of mutual support.

Who is Suzanne and what is she all about?
On her web site, Suzanne introduces herself with disarming directness:

“Hi!  My name is Suzanne Kirkland Kincaid.

I developed the InVeStworks Model System whereby anyone can
create their own financial freedom beginning with as little as $1 a day! “

“As a wife, mother, advocate and small business owner for over 30 years, I've spent thousands of hours and thousands of dollars studying business systems, financial and investments strategies, Network and Internet Marketing, all the while my husband and I were struggling and juggling responsibilities to provide for our family and our retirement.”

One on one with Suzanne
Suzanne is one of the most naturally supportive people I’ve ever encountered. She is generous with her upbeat energy and her clear-cut replies to my interview questions.

First off, I am curious to see how Suzanne would sum up her system into the proverbial elevator speech. So, I half-jokingly ask her:

“How would you describe what you do in 25 words or less?”

“I teach people how to start a home-based business on $1 a day.”

“Awesome!” I laugh. “How many words is that?”

“Do you mean how few?” says Suzanne. “Fourteen, exactly.”

I’m duly impressed, but I move onward. “So now: what would you say is the primary goal of what you do?”

Again her reply comes without hesitation:

“I am very clear on my goals. Specifically, I aim to empower people to:

·         Simplify life
·         Live honorably
·         Fulfill their personal mission
·         Restructure a fair tax system
·         Equalize the monetary system
·         Eliminate corporate and governmental misuse of funds, and
·         Purchase in ecological and humanitarian balance with the planet.”

“I can also put my goal in a sentence format,” she adds, “and here it is:
To put more money into the hands of everyday citizens so they have the money to make more socially responsible decisions with money.

  • So they can “vote” with their dollars with green corporations that produce products in harmony with people and the planet.

  • So people have the money to invest in organic food and farms and not buy chemically engineered or irradiated food.

  • So people have the money to invest in natural forms of energy like wind, solar and hydrogen power, rather than nuclear power, limited fossil fuels and having wars over oil.

  • So that everybody has access to what they need to live with adequate food, shelter and medical care in peace and plenty.

I just feel this is our right as a BEing on the planet.”

More of Suzanne’s inspirational causes!
My admiration continues to escalate when I ask Suzanne to list any additional causes and activities:

“I have been an active volunteer and advocate for many years, especially for my children’s schools and environmental and political concerns. Currently, I serve as the Worldwide Coordinator of the Books for Friends program which is a division of the Conversations with God Foundation and as a Mentor for Wise Up Women, a division of the US Department of Labor Women’s Bureau.”

How Suzanne first got started along this road
She is quick to recount the beginnings of her extraordinary journey. “Basically,” she says, ”I have been self employed all my life at age five I had my first business, offering to sweep neighbors’ carports for a nickel! And some people were so nice they actually gave me a quarter…”

Suzanne went on to create a number and variety of successful businesses. As time went on, she became more and more fed up with business as usual. “I made a decision that I wanted to spend the rest of my life working towards creating ‘conscious commerce’”.

“I see traditional business operating from a base of fear, greed and competition,” she explains. “I was determined to develop a system that operated from a base of love, sharing and cooperation where everybody wins.”

“The first thing I did was to get clear on my goals. Next, I knew the Internet and networking were the most powerful way to share ideas, so in 2002 I started doing research on networking companies and opportunities. I was extremely excited about the facts I uncovered and the wealth-building possibilities I envisioned!”

Suzanne gradually developed her system she came to name InVeStworks and started writing her book, Financial Freedom on $1 a Day, in 2003. It was published by a Canadian publisher, Grandville Island, in 2004.“

The InVeStworks program at closer range
When you go to the web site, the headline immediately sets an upbeat tone:

InVeStworks
“Here’s YOUR Pot of Gold. There’s ONE for EVERYBODY!”

And you will see there are several pages of carefully explained information to delve into!

Some key features of the system:

·         Affiliate marketing:
InVeStworks introduces a model system which can be applied to any network company that will pay you a commission for sales or referrals.

·         Size of group (number of partners) required to start :
All you need to start is 3 InVeStment Partners and $1 a day to invest.

·         Companies and products:
Start by investing in online educational programs because they are the easiest and make the most money the fastest. Because there is no physical product to manufacture store and ship, these companies have low entry fees and can pay out in the 75 - 85 percentile range in commissions to the membership base.
Educational programs used here involve family-friendly topics such as music, food, and gardening information.

Later on, with additional monthly funds, you can choose to invest in physical products such as health-conscious nutritional items / foods and drinks, cleansing teas, natural health care and beauty products, etc.

·         FAQ information:
Detailed FAQ page on web site addresses specific issues, e.g., explaining how
the InVeStworks program differs from standard MLM.

·         Free Support:
Audio information, recorded calls and classes – all available on web site.

·         Ongoing research on new companies / opportunities:
Suzanne herself does careful, thoroughgoing research on appropriate
companies that may be added to current list of investment opportunities.

·         Finding opportunities on your own:
After enrolling in the basics, members can research their own products
and add them for their own investment group.

·         If you are in additional networks:
You can incorporate the $1 a day programs with any network you may have already to create multiple streams of income with the SAME network!

How and where to buy Suzanne’s book
“Now back to your book. I presume it’s available on Amazon?” I say.

“That’s right, Amazon where, by the way, you’ll see it has received some excellent reviews. Nowadays I market my book and my ideas primarily by word of mouth, people to people.

“When I first saw your web site last year,” I say, “it seems like your book was also available as a free download!”

“You’re right, it was offered for free for over 3 years,” she admits, “but it is now no longer available. Apparently, not that many people downloaded it, though I admit I don’t keep track of visitors or downloads…”

Suzanne suddenly interrupts herself. “Wow I just had an idea! As a special gift to your TNNW readers, I’d like to give you the download link to my book!”

I happily accept her generosity, and promise to insert the link. See
Bonus -- Book download link for TNNW readersat the end of this article.

Marketing and Promotion Suzanne style
“Basically,” Suzanne explains, “I promote my system, everywhere at every opportunity! People are always wishing or whining about money.  When they do, I happily share with them a very powerful system that can be used with any networking company of how to create an amazing income with a minimum of cost and effort.

“I interact in online groups as well. It’s great getting to know people and building relationships, sharing great resources with others that I think may have value for them.  It’s simple, really: through my doing so, many will often inquire more about what I do or about my book.”

When I ask about her marketing methods, Suzanne is quick to explain:

“I do not do traditional marketing of any kind, online or off, other than an ad in my email signature and business cards which I only give out when asked.

“Rather than trying to ‘sell’ people something, I just naturally share what I have that may be of value to someone, whether I make money on that or not. As a result, people come to me when they want to know more about what I have to offer as a business opportunity.

“That has always been my style, as it feels more comfortable for me. I have built many businesses strictly from referrals rather than traditional advertising. We all know that word of mouth is the most powerful form of advertising. I let people do my advertising and then reward them with small appreciation gifts. It's a win-win all the way around and lot less effort and expense.”

Why Suzanne cares so deeply about the cause of women
When I ask how much of her work is focused specifically toward women, Suzanne’s passion is again evident in her reply:

“Let me put it this way. Seventy percent of people who live in poverty are women and children. Women are still far behind in economic equality and yet they are the primary care givers of children. It’s been said countless times: Children are our future. If we want a better life and if we want to continue life as we know it on planet earth at this time, we need to focus our attention on caring, teaching and empowering women and children.”

Yes, the statistics are stunning!
“Do you realize, “Suzanne tells me, “that collectively the richest countries combined spend about 900 billion dollars on defense as compared to only 60 billion on aid to the poor?

“What if we reversed those figures and spent 900 billion on aid to the poor. Do you think we would still need to spend 60 billion on defense? Clearly, no!

“I have so much more to say about all this! My current book was written for people in the lower half of the economic scale, first. My next book is for the business world.”

Current InVeStworks outreach
I am curious to find out how far the InVeStworksnetwork extends at present.

“My network includes people from all walks of life however, primarily people in the lower economic scales and richer countries. Not surprisingly, a large majority in the richer countries are women, while a larger majority from the poorer countries are men. My network consists of thousands of people in over 100 countries.”

“That’s exciting, Suzanne! So now I’m wondering: What has been the best about building a network: Your benefits expected? Unexpected?”

“The greatest joy for me has been empowering people!” she tells me. “Educating them on the power of uniting together for a common cause and just how powerful and effective we are as such. These benefits are very rewarding, more so than any material objective.

Challenge in networking experiences?  Benefits out of challenges?
“The challenges have been to get people, and society as a whole, to break free of beliefs that no longer make any ‘cents’ (yes, pun intended). To get people to take responsibility for their own happiness in life and create more of it for all of us to share and enjoy!

“There is so much resistance around ‘money’ that it’s mind-boggling. We are stuck in poverty consciousness, lack of self worthiness, moral superiority about money – that old thing that ‘money is the root of evil’; that you can’t be spiritual and have a lot of money and more.

“These are false beliefs that do not serve us or teach our children how to live with love and respect for divine perfection, beauty and abundance that is around us everywhere in all things.

“Money is as available as oxygen in the air and yet people are so conditioned with false beliefs they don’t allow themselves access to this ‘money’ in order to live a better life and help others do the same.

“You ask about any benefits? Yes! People are waking up to their own individual and collective inner power! I call my system the 7 Steps to Enlightened Wealth. The 7th step is to use the money for something good”.

Automatically, my inner Devil’s Advocate pops up here. “So you feel people can be trusted to do the right thing?”

There’s no hesitation in Suzanne’s reply. ”I feel people are inherently good and when empowered and enabled to do so, will live with love, joy, peace and passion. People are amazingly resourceful and continuously think of newer and better ways to operate in the world that are harmonious with life.”

Any new goals networking or otherwise?
“I am going to continue doing what I do for the rest of my life. This is my vision, my mission, my passion. And I network in everything I do. I love sharing my information and ideas at every opportunity and helping connect people who may synergize their expertise for greater good.

“Of course I can’t reach everyone, but like the Chinese starfish proverb teaches, ‘I make a difference with this one!” Each person I can uplift has a ripple effect around the world for the people whose lives they touch throughout their lifetime.

Any groups you especially want to bring to our readers’ attention?
“Yes, Humanity’s Team. It was originally founded by Neale Donald Walsch, author of the Conversations with God book series; it is now a members-based organization. I am one of the original founding members (since 2003), certified as a Humanity's Team Leader.

“I also serve as the Worldwide Coordinator of the Books For Friends programs, a division of the Conversations with God (CwG) Foundation, where we send free books to people who can not afford to buy them. And I am also proudly associated with Gather The Women, which also started in 2003 as a project of Women of Vision and Action. GTW is doing literally just that: gathering the women around the world to ’weave a web that works.’”

I am happy to tell Suzanne that I myself have participated with a highly active GTW group when I was living in California. What a privilege to be part of such a dedicated collection of wise women!

In Conclusion…
I trust that I’ve shown in this time we’ve shared with Suzanne that there’s no shortage of creative passion and committed action available to those who have the eyes to see and the ears to hear whether in the realm of financial freedom or other dimensions of business, creativity, community building, and/or social justice.

Though we may be inspired by outstanding individuals such as Suzanne Kincaid, each one of us also needs our own clarified vision so we can work our way beyond those outgrown perceptions that will eventually become our prison cell, perhaps even our sarcophagus.

So let me again salute Suzanne’s compassionate heart and pioneering spirit and end with a quote she loves to share:

The possibility of stepping into a higher plane is quite real for everyone.
It requires no force or effort or sacrifice.
It involves little more than changing our ideas about what is normal."
